First Time Buyers
Welcome to the starting point of your exciting homebuying journey!
Here, I’ll be guiding you through the ins and outs of mortgages
Being a first-time buyer means you have never owned a home or any land before, anywhere in the world.
Being a first-time buyer has some great benefits:
– You can get relief on Stamp Duty (a tax everyone else has to pay when buying a house) and you can access certain schemes that help make buying a home more affordable.
However, not everyone qualifies as a first-time buyer:
– If you have inherited or received a property as a gift – Bought a property for yourself or on behalf of someone else
– Have been added to the title deeds of a property someone else purchased, you won’t be considered a first-time buyer.
(However, there are exceptions. If you acquired a property as a trustee or if you acquired a lease with less than 21 years remaining, you might qualify as a first-time buyer)
Understanding your first-time buyer status is important because it gives you access to special benefits and opportunities!
At Moor Mortgages, we specialise in helping first-time buyers navigate the homebuying process, ensuring you have the information you need to make smart decisions and take advantage of available benefits.
