First Time Buyers

Welcome to the starting point of your exciting homebuying journey!

Here, I’ll be guiding you through the ins and outs of mortgages

Being a first-time buyer means you have never owned a home or any land before, anywhere in the world.

Being a first-time buyer has some great benefits:
– You can get relief on Stamp Duty (a tax everyone else has to pay when buying a house) and you can access certain schemes that help make buying a home more affordable.

However, not everyone qualifies as a first-time buyer:
– If you have inherited or received a property as a gift – Bought a property for yourself or on behalf of someone else
– Have been added to the title deeds of a property someone else purchased, you won’t be considered a first-time buyer.

(However, there are exceptions. If you acquired a property as a trustee or if you acquired a lease with less than 21 years remaining, you might qualify as a first-time buyer)

Understanding your first-time buyer status is important because it gives you access to special benefits and opportunities!

At Moor Mortgages, we specialise in helping first-time buyers navigate the homebuying process, ensuring you have the information you need to make smart decisions and take advantage of available benefits.

I have written a truly comprehensive guide to First Time Buyer mortgages, that covers not only the Mortgage but the entire house buying journey. Click here ⬇️

Peter is a pleasure to deal with and knows what he's talking about! We spoke about our upcoming end of fixed deal mortgage and Peter gave some great advice and guidance and whilst we could have made the changes ourselves, we felt much better knowing that Peter was handling it for us and it was in safe hands. The changes were dealt with swiftly and Peter is never too far away if we have a question. Thanks Peter and we'll look forward to continuing to work with you!

Peter was very easy to make an appointment with and very flexible with how we could chat -in person or on the phone. Following a discussion about our needs he outlined how he could help and gave timescales. He came back to me earlier than planned and gave great advice. 100% would recommend.
